THIS WEEKS NEWS ........ .

The 2008-2009 Season 'wound-up' with Prize-giving , DOMINATED .. by Matt Moragn from the 4B's , winning the majority of trophies including the 'big-one' of 'PLAYER OF THE YEAR' . Well done Matt , and congratulations to all winners , and thanks to all who attended .. and a BIG thanks to our 'organiser extroadinaire' - Rachel ..

After our 'clean-up' at the Club the day after Prize-giving , the next visit to the Club was a week later to return some gear , and we were greeted with 'flooded' changing rooms and toilets !! A 'burst-pipe' in the roof somewhere had caused MAJOR damage to half the Clubrooms , and is currently under repair. This is 'bad-luck' .. after a year when we have worked hard to 'keep our heads above water' .. we will incur costs here we obviously didn't expect. Thats life I guess , and one of the reasons we are looking forward one day to sharing NEW facilities with other Clubs , facing the same problems as us.

This last season was difficult , after losing a number of players / officials from our previous Centenary Year. Yet - there is a feeling of optimism amongst the Club , re recruitment of players for next year , and a 'rejunivated' junior Section. So - lets make it happen next year .. by .. signing new players , existing members attending our AGM , and if you feel its time you could spare some time to help the Club .. putting your name forward for the committee.
